The Versailles Area Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a sincere invitation to you to become a member of our growing Chamber. Over the past few years, the Chamber has almost doubled its membership. We, as business people and Chamber members know how important it is to have the community work together for common goals. This is the goal for the Chamber to help area businesses come together for common goals, support businesses through planned activities and promotions. The gathering of so many people with different vocations and views helps us keep our goals diverse, while showing support for the local businesses.
The overall goal of the Chamber is clear, to promote and encourage increased business as well as offering an opportunity for its members to network with one another, and sometimes just have fun. We would be pleased to have you join us in our efforts.
If you haven’t been a member for a while, we invite you to get reacquainted with us, and see how we’ve grown in both size and knowledge.
The Board of Directors meets at 5:30 p.m. every third Monday of the month at the Chamber Office. If you have a suggestion or concerns, feel free to attend one of the board meetings. Just call the office at 378-4401 or email vchamber@sbcglobal.net to be put on the agenda.
Meetings of the General membership are held quarterly. Your business will be notified as to the date and location of the meeting by our chamber secretary, newsletter, KTKS95 radio or reading your local newspaper
The Chamber Office is currently open Monday thru Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, with an answering machine available for after hour inquires.

Why The Versailles Area Chamber of Commerce?
Networking: This is the key to a successful business. Word of mouth contacts account for 75 – 80% of business referrals. The Chamber is an excellent place to Network. You will meet and be in personal contact with all types of area businesses thru meetings and activities, broadening your resources. Our newsletter goes out to all members, and new businesses are highlighted as to their products and services for all the members to see. The Chambers goal is to keep as much business in our local businesses, not to go to outside areas. When members are familiar with your business, they feel comfortable giving referrals to persons who are looking for what you are providing.
Referrals: All calls coming into the Chamber of Commerce Office, asking for specific products and services, are referred to Chamber members. Where else can you get that kind of advertising, 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year? If you provide us with specifics, we can past them on to callers.
We send out hundreds of relocation packets and vacation packets each year. Member businesses that provide us with written flyers or information will have these included in these packets. Again, great advertising, when to new arrivals the Chamber of Commerce to the area recommends you. Guess whom they will call?
Web Sites: membership automatically puts you on our web site, which is tied to the Convention & Visitors Bureau. Thousands of people access these web sites each year. We enable viewers to click on your name on the web site, and open your own personal page with all about your business, fees, services, as well as your location. We also give out area scheduled activities, school athletic events, and other promotional information.
Look at it all, and where can you get so much promotion for your business, at such a reasonable price? Not many places. We aren’t all work though; we have fun doing our annual events from the apple festival to our Old Fashioned Christmas and much more.

Fees for membership are as follows:
$175.00 Annually: Financial Institutions and Business or Corporations with over 200 employees.
$150.00 Annually: Businesses or Corporations with over 100 but less then 200 employees.
$125.00 Annually: Businesses or Corporations with over 25 but less then 100 employees.
$100.00 Annually: Businesses or Corporations with less than 25 employees or self-employed individuals.
$30.00 Annually: Other not-for-profit organizations, associations, civic clubs, and other groups with memberships.
$25.00 Annually: For individuals and interested persons that are not presently business owners or proprietors or representatives thereof. This is a non-voting status and these individuals will not be eligible to hold an elected office on the Board of Directors. They will also receive the monthly newsletter and any other mailings made by the Versailles Area Chamber of Commerce.
Benefactors Category: Any business or individual who donates above and beyond their investment schedule amount. The Benefactors will be recognized in a special category listing.
